‘My Fiancé Went To Extreme Lengths To Avoid My Family By Playing A ‘Horrible Stunt,’ People Are Now Telling Me To Rethink Marrying Him’

A 28-year-old woman has shared how her fiancé went to extreme lengths to avoid seeing her family by playing a ‘horrible stunt’.

The woman took to Reddit and explained that her fiancé, whom she’s been in a relationship with for eight years, has a twin who looks exactly like him.

Last weekend, her family planned a big reunion but her fiancé said that he couldn’t go.

“My fiancé complained about the reunion and told me he could not attend,” she said.

She told him that it would mean so much to her if he met more of her relatives. So when the day finally arrived, he told her that he would be there.

“While we were chatting with family members, my aunt asked him what he did for a living and he answered,” she said, adding that everything seemed to go well.

“When I got home, I saw my fiancé sitting on the couch playing a video game. I asked if he had a good time at the reunion and he told me he did.”

However, she felt like something was ‘off,’ so she asked him what her cousin’s name was and he couldn’t give an answer.

“He thought about it for a long minute and then started laughing,” she said. “He told me that his twin brother attended the reunion and he was dropped off by a friend. I was so angry with him that I asked him to leave so I could think everything through.

“He went to stay with a friend and I’m still so devastated that he would pull this kind of prank on me.

“My parents are very upset with him and are being very supportive. He thinks I’m being dramatic and there was no harm in what he did.”

She then asked others whether she was being unreasonable for being angry with him, but Reddit users assured her that he was in the wrong.

“This is gold! I have siblings that are twins. They pulled the ol’ switcheroo in grade school. But by age 28 you should know better,” one person wrote.

“It’s honestly really weird, though. It’s like they watched way too many kid’s shows where twins swap places and thought it would still be hilarious even though they’re grown men,” another commented.

“Really better rethink marrying this guy,” a third added.
