A 7-year-old girl broke down in tears when she unwrapped the ‘best Christmas present ever’ given by her parents.
In the viral video, Claire Hammer from Frisco, Texas, can be seen crying happy tears after she opened up the present and saw a puppy.
Her mom, Janee Hammer, can be heard asking: “Is she cute?” while the young girl continued to cry.
“You can pick her up,” Mrs. Hammer said and Claire reached to hold the puppy.
When asked if she loved her new dog, the 7-year-old girl said ‘yes.’
Mrs. Hammers and her daughter both have fur allergies but they found out that Goldendoodles, a poodle-retriever mix, are hypoallergenic.
“I was crying right along with her,” the mother said.
“She has been asking for a puppy for as long as I can remember, she is absolutely crazy about dogs,” Mrs. Hammer added.
Mr. and Mrs. Hammer picked up Nola Rose on December 17 but because they couldn’t keep the adorable dog a secret for a long time, their 15-year-old son Ben immediately put the pooch in a box outside their front door before ringing the doorbell.
Claire answered the door and when she opened the box, she couldn’t contain her emotions.
One person commented: “Awww, that was so sweet, what an adorable little girl and the puppy is so calm!! Ugh!!. Excuse me, there’s something in my eye.”
Another shared: “Many years ago my family gave me a kitten for Christmas best present ever !! But I was an adult, I looked after my present and I had my beautiful cat for nearly twenty years.”
A third said: “That’s so sweet. I’d cry too. What a sweetheart Claire is and good girl Nola Rose!”
