Kiara Buonomo has only months to live but her parents and loved ones are receiving cruel messages from online trolls.
Her family created an online account to keep a record of her courage and bravery. The page also tracks her amazing way to fight for life. Unfortunately, the page also attracted heartless people.
One message had a photo of Kiara with a disgusting, heartless caption.
Another person called the 7-year-old obscene names.
Her mother, Natasha Kinlan, said: “The way they are talking now is vile, about [expletive] and other things. It is horrible.”
One message even suggested running over the girl’s 3-year-old brother, Ajay.
Natasha reported the trolls to police and has now spoken out hoping they will be caught.
“It’s sickened us. We have enough to think about without the extra stress of this,” she told the Daily Record.
Kiara was first diagnosed when she was six after her hand started to shake. Doctors were able to remove 95 percent of her 5cm brain tumor.
However, cancer returned and there’s nothing more medics can do.
Natasha and Aldo Buonomo, her partner, started to receive cruel messages shortly after her diagnosis in 2018.
“A couple of weeks after Kiara was diagnosed in January last year, we began to receive pictures on Snapchat saying ‘hurry up and die’ and they told us we were wasting NHS money,” Natasha expressed.
The last horrible message was received last week as Kiara was taken to hospital for surgery. She had fluid on her brain and Natasha didn’t know if her daughter was going to survive.
Police Scotland said: “Police are aware of this and inquiries are ongoing.”
