A family has come under fire after grandparents bought a huge pile of gifts for their grandson’s first Christmas.

The photos of the massive haul of toys of all kinds were shared on Facebook by Michigan from Sydney, Australia, who asked fellow parents if anyone else’s child received “too many” gifts from grandparents for Christmas.

“Has anyone else’s parents gone crazy for baby’s first Christmas?” the woman captioned her photos.

In the pictures, one can see dozens if not hundreds of toys ranging from plushies to figurines to interactive toys and books.

Soon enough, hundreds of people chipped into the debate by suggesting the grandparents exaggerated and that no one-year-old could possibly enjoy “so much junk.”

“Sorry I don’t want to be a negative and I mean no offence by this but this is ridiculous. He is a baby and will never remember all of these things,” someone wrote.

“I’m just imagining how many batteries you’ll be replacing, our toys all seem to go dead at the same time and suddenly I need multiple bulk packs of batteries at once,” another said.

A third suggested: “Don’t be offended when the baby gets over unwrapping after the second gift.”

Some people, however, rushed to the grandparent’s defense saying they probably bought so many gifts out of their overwhelming love for their grandson. Others also suggested the baby boy will still be able to use the gifts in the years to come.

“I grew up homeless, without gifts, food, necessities due to being in an abusive and neglected home/foster homes and it really makes my heart happy to see others spoilt,” one person said.

“I actually love this and love seeing these kinds of posts for other kids!” another argued.
