The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have finally released the first photo of their daughter Lilibet Diana as they announced that they have made donations to numerous charities.
In the photo taken by Alexi Lubomirski, Meghan Markle can be seen holding up their baby girl while Prince Harry has his arm around their 2-year-old son Archie.
Archie looks incredibly like his father with his red hair. Like his parents, he is also sporting jeans as he gives an adorable smile.
Harry, Meghan, and Archie all wore denim jeans, with the Duke wearing a blue shirt, the Duchess matching her outfit with a navy jumper, and their son a white shirt. Lilibet can be seen giggling while sporting a white ensemble.
The couple shared the Christmas card to announce that they have donated to several charities, including an organization that supports Afghan families.
Their message read: “This year we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a “Mama and Papa” and Lili made us a family.”
“As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave,” it continued.
The card marks the first time royal fans have been able to see the face of their daughter.
Photographer Alexi Lubomirski took to Instagram and shared his amazing work, writing: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archie and Lilibet. This is one of those rare and special projects, that one is fortunate enough to be a part of.
‘To be able to continue the story of this family whom I first photographed as an engaged couple, then on the day of their wedding, as a married couple and now seeing their love manifest into two beautiful children, has been a delightful honour.”
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4 in Santa Barbara, California. She was named after the Queen’s childhood nickname and her middle name Diana was a heartfelt tribute to Harry’s late mother. She is eight in line to the throne.
