International students who go to school abroad miss their family so much during the school time.
They visit their family at home during the vacations but some of them are not able to go back home for various reasons.
I had a friend who came from South Korea for the college and he lost his way home in Korea because his family moved to another city and forgot to tell him.
And here is the story of Hadi, an international student at London who came from Indonesia. He had been going to college and couldn’t go back to Indonesia for three years.
In June 2016, he finally planned to go back home and meet his family but he decided not to tell his family that he was coming back.

He also didn’t tell that he had lost nearly 50 pounds at school and that’s why he thought the surprise would work!
He kept his secret to his parents and the older brother and his other brother helped him setting the scene for the surprise.
As Hadi came back to his hometown of Medan, Indonesia, he asked the other brother to bring his family to a restaurant.
Hadi was sitting down at the restaurant table wearing a gray shirt; then the server, who also knew the plan, seated his family right across him.
In the video below, his mother recognizes the similar look of her son and the guy on the table across as soon as she sees Hadi. She says, “This guy looks so much like Hadi, I can’t believe it,” but the father says, “No, so different!”
Since Hadi became so slim, he couldn’t recognize him.

When his father goes to the bathroom, Hadi reveals himself to the family and finally hugs his mother and brother. His mother is so happy to see him. Then, they all wait for the father to come and have a little fun.
