A man asked on Reddit’s ‘Am I The A**hole forum’ if he should cut his family out of his life completely after a bizarre incident.
The man accused his family of turning his romantic honeymoon into a family holiday.
The man told that he got married on Saturday and had a small wedding so he and his wife could have an awesome honeymoon.
But, when they told their plans to his family, his parents said they wanted to come with them to turn their honeymoon into a family vacation.
The man refused but since then, the family started joking that they would just show up where they were planning to go.
The furious man wrote: “Half because of this and half because we found a great deal, we decided to go to another, even cooler, place but didn’t tell my parents.”
“Sunday night I get a bunch of texts from my mom, dad and brother wanting to know where we are. Yep, they showed up at the original honeymoon location as a ‘fun surprise’. Like, what the actual f**k?”
“They were p***ed that I ‘betrayed’ them by lying and even more p***ed that I refuse to tell them where we are now. They did apologise as well as saying they ‘forgive me for ruining their first family vacation in a decade’. They want to just put this behind us and move on, but the thing is, I don’t want to.”
The man slammed his family on Reddit for ruining his honeymoon and told that he’s planning to cut his family out of his life completely.
But before doing that, he decided to ask Redditors if he should cut his family out of his life completely after the incident.
The man also claimed that this is not the first time his family did something like this.
Earlier, they showed up on his date nights as well.
Redditors supported the man and his decision while some advised him to stay away from them for a while instead of cutting them out of his life completely.
