A jobless mother of eight children who is also renowned as the ‘Welfare Queen’ of the United Kingdom is shedding light upon her struggles.
The mother, who quite frequently gets dubbed as the Octomom, also revealed how two of her children are now teenagers and it’s been really tough on her without any job.
The 39-year-old mother of eight who hails from Birmingham is now fearing that she will never be able to find work since so many people have given her titles and nicknames that she is certainly not proud of.
After losing her job and all of the benefits being cut, the mother explained how it was hard to get food on the table with so many children but she’s grateful for food banks to provide her with edibles that allow her and the kids to make a living.
Marie Buchan shed light on how her tax credits and child benefits have both received major cuts by nearly 160 British Pounds in a week as two of her children are over the age of 16.
But the mother is also paying the price of her own words after she reportedly appeared on a television show and spoke about how easy it was to milk the country’s system for benefits.
“Each day is a huge struggle for me. I only use food banks to survive and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that I literally live on them at the moment,” she revealed.
“You sometimes have to do what you have to do to survive in this world,” the mother explained, sharing how grateful she is for their existence.
While the future doesn’t appear too bright for this mother of eight, she certainly hopes and prays for miracles to come her way as these are some of the most testing times she’s ever had to experience.
