32-year-old Laura O’Sullivan from Britain fell head over heels for 31-year-old Terrell Ravon Reese from the US who is serving a 20- to 40-year sentence for murdering Justin Solomon, 19, back in 2009.

As the mother-of-four told the media, she first talked to Terrell in October 2021 after using the JPay app which allows inmates to find pen pals.

While the couple initially talked over the phone twice per day, their romance grew quickly and before they knew it, they started sending each other gifts and love letters.

“My initial thought was like, ‘Sh**,’ because it sounds so bad. But he didn’t pull the trigger. He was young and stupid, in the wrong place at the wrong time and it got him imprisoned for most of his life,” Laura said as she recalled the moment her “honest” crush told her in detail what led to his incarceration.

“Terrell was caught up in a lot of stuff. He does regret that he didn’t have more of a voice and went along with stuff. He wishes he’d made better choices.

“But he’s taken a lot of classes in prison. He goes to church, he has learnt sign language – he has taught himself a lot for someone thrown in prison as a teenager.”

Laura also revealed that she and Terrell call each other up to 12 times per day and that he reads his poems to her during their long-distance chats.

After 17 days of talking to each other on a daily basis, the pair officially became a couple and in December, Terrell proposed to his girlfriend after obtaining her mother’s blessing.

“I thought it was friggin’ nuts, friggin’ crazy, but I couldn’t control my feelings and stop my heart. He’s all I have ever wanted,” Laura admitted.

Speaking of her unusual relationship, she continued: “It’s been a crazy whirlwind. I said I love you first but he said he wanted to say he loved me the week before.

“I used to be one of those people who would read these stories and think, ‘There is no way you can love someone when you haven’t even met them.’ But now, it has happened to me and I get it.”

As the mom-of-four explained, she is now planning to visit the Michigan prison and arrange her first official meeting with her fiancée.

Though her fiancée’s release might still be decades away, Laura is also looking forward to tying the knot with the man of her dreams.

“I’ve read up a little about the wedding and I think you can wear a dress but it can’t be too revealing. He isn’t allowed to dress up, so I will probably just go nice but casual with a nice top,” she said of the upcoming ceremony.

“They do the ceremony in the day room in front of the other prisoners. We’re only allowed to have me, Terrell, the vicar and one other guest he can choose.

“We get a two hour visit but that’s it. There is a vending machine in the room so we can get some hot food, like a burger or something, but that sounds awful so I don’t think we will do that.”

Meanwhile, Terrell spoke from the prison to brand his lover as a “beautiful woman” with a “beautiful soul.”

“I will always respect her as the mother she is to four beautiful boys and she gives everything a man can ever ask for in life,” he said. “She is a beautiful human being and a beautiful soul.”
