A mother gave birth to a heavy baby who has grown so big for his age that he has to use adult nappies instead.

42-year-old Jaydee Leeder has revealed that her son, Sonny Portnoy, was born weighing 9lbs!

Only one year later, the tot’s weight has tripled, tipping the scales at 36lbs!

The mother-of-three took to TikTok and explained that she now buys adult nappies for her son as baby size no longer work for him.

“When I was pregnant he always measured a week or two bigger.

“Doctors were concerned about his size and they originally thought I had diabetes but thankfully that wasn’t the case – I just had a special boy on the way.”

She continued: “His dad is a big solid Russian and and my oldest was over nine pounds when he was born so it was to be expected in a way.

“Sonny’s a happy little character and he makes some hilarious faces – he is very cheeky. He knows when he’s doing something he shouldn’t be and thinks it’s funny to see my reaction.

“He’s crawling and just learning to stand, but I have some skeletal problems and he seems to have inherited a few hypermobility issues as his ankle joints are a bit stiff.”

“It’s nothing serious though and he is having regular physio so he will walk soon enough,” Jaydee added. “I’m very lucky to have him in our beautiful family and can’t wait to watch him grow and develop in the future.”

Internet users were quick to share their thoughts, with one person writing: “Hopefully they check him out for any conditions that may cause him to grow abnormally big/fast but otherwise, if hes healthy, that all that matters.”

Another wrote: “Hes is gorgeous,beautiful blue eyes.”

A third added: “Nine pounds is not an excessive weight for a new-born. My dancing teacher’s boy was eleven and a half pounds. The baby’s excessive weight now must be down to over-feeding.”
