A mother couldn’t contain her anger after people on social media ridiculed the name she chose for her son.
Brooke Hamilton shares videos of her children on TikTok but her recent clip went viral after she revealed the name she just picked for her baby.
In the TikTok video that has been viewed over 150,000 times, Brooke received negative comments from internet users who said that the name she chose is ‘tragic.’
“If I had of known my baby names were going to go viral, I would have posted them long ago! Meet my son…” she captioned her video.
Like many other parents, Brooke was also stuck between many different names. Some of the names that she had liked for her son included Rugged Cruz, Ledger Hayz, and Jett Black.
After months of deliberation, she decided to go with ‘West.’
“Everyone, meet West!” she excitedly said in her clip.
Her video immediately received hundreds of comments and thousands of likes from TikTokers who said that the name sounded like an ‘apartment complex.’
“West is a direction, dear. Not a name,” one person commented.
“West Woods… That’s not a human name. Like an apartment or school complex. It’s a child,” another wrote.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” a third said.
But others supported the mother’s decision, with one writing: “I used to live on a street called West Wood. Whatever works for you and your family, do it! It’s your baby.”
Another said: “Love it! Such a cool name.”
A third said: “West Woods was my favorite of all the ones you listed.”
