A 27-year-old woman has revealed how people on social media have told her that she ‘shouldn’t be a parent’ because of the way she paints her eyebrows.
Sammie-Jo Hailford, a mother-of-four, paints her eyebrows with thick eyeliner and shares her videos on TikTok, where she has more than 76,500 followers and over 980,000 likes.
But despite getting thousands of fans, many trolls have been threatening to call social services on her.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Hailford said: “People have said I shouldn’t be a mum and they are going to ring social services because of my eyebrows.
“It gets really extreme on the internet.
“They can call social services because I have nothing to hide. My eyebrows don’t determine whether I’m a good mother or not.”
The mother-of-four said that she doesn’t follow today’s beauty standards and that she feels like she’s making a statement by painting her eyebrows.
“People say I don’t get boys because I have big eyebrows but that is wrong,” she said.
“I have had quite a few men in my inbox telling me I’m beautiful and saying they would date me – they always mention the eyebrows first, so maybe there is a fetish there.”
Hailford, a self-proclaimed ‘yummy mummy,’ slammed remarks that she ‘doesn’t get men’ by revealing that she has four ‘baby daddies’ – kids with four different men.
One TikTok user commented: “Them poor kids’, alongside many people who commented on their feelings for the child who they believe would be embarrassed about their mother later in life.”
Another wrote: “Lol she went out like that??? I thought it was a joke???”
A third added: “U ok girl? Did you get in a crash and ur makeup splashed on u? Or did ur sharpie leak?”
