A young student has been isolated from his entire class for the second time in a row after his school’s administration deemed his haircut to be too extreme.
Lealan Hague’s hairstyle was the center of plenty of controversies after it was slammed as extreme by the school’s leaders, causing outrage amongst his parents.
The schoolboy was also once barred from his classroom for showing up to school in plaits and now his parents feel that things are becoming too extreme, adding perhaps how their son is being targeted for no good reason.
Hague who had long hair was ordered by his teachers at Exmouth’s Community College to wear his hair down, instead of donning a hairstyle of his own preference. And that’s when the leaders deemed the hairstyle referred to as plaits to be an extreme choice of haircuts.
For this reason, the year 10 student was reportedly put inside a room termed to be the ‘reflection area’ where he is forced to sit in isolation, miles away from his other classmates.
The mother of the child has slammed the school and its authorities for displaying unreasonable and ridiculous behavior against her son, referring to their policy as an ‘absolute joke’.
She even confirmed to local media outlets how her child is in top form for all his subjects and that means his choice of hairstyle isn’t affecting his studies at all or his learning process.
“Whenever he keeps his hair down, it never covers the rest of his head so you still get to see a portion of his shaved hair on the sides,” his mother boldly added.
“You just can’t put a boy in isolation for no good reason at school, all by himself, all day long,” she explained. In addition to that, shocking details revealed how the boy needs to be accompanied by a mentor if he wishes to use the toilet too.
