A pregnant woman has been left devastated after her mother played a cruel prank on her during her gender reveal party.

Ashlee, who goes under the username @dinkymisspretty on TikTok, celebrated her gender reveal where her family and friends gathered to see her pop the balloon and reveal whether her child would be a boy or a girl.

The soon-to-be mother-of-two, who already has a boy, was so delighted when she burst the black balloon and pink confetti flew all around her, making her believe that she was expecting a baby girl.

Ashlee took to TikTok and shared the moment she popped the large balloon during her gender reveal party.

But if you look closely, the confetti that came out of the balloon is actually blue! However, her mother decided to use a cannon of pink confetti right in front of her to make her think that she was having a daughter.

The pregnant mom was overwhelmed with emotions at seeing the pink confetti until her son rushed to tell her what his grandmother had done.

“Clearly you can see I wanted a girl so bad and in that moment I felt like I hit the lottery,” she said in the video.

“Then here comes my son making me realize it’s really another boy. I was p***sed.”

TikTok users flooded her comments section, with one person writing: “Now see this reaction is valid because you can’t play with a pregnant woman’s emotions like that! I’m sure you’ll have a beautiful baby boy though.”

Another said: “This is the only one I can actually be okay with the parent being mad. Cause why play like that,” to which Ashlee replied: “Right, I wasn’t mad it was a boy I was mad they had me think it was a girl.”
