A mother has shared how her son refuses to visit him just because she doesn’t let him bring his dog.

The mother took to Mumsnet and explained that she is allergic to dogs but her son and his puppy come as a package deal.

This means that his son cannot go to her house without his beloved furry companion even though the mom is suffering with an allergic reaction whenever the dog is around.

The woman also said that when she tried to take care of his dog, she ‘absolutely hated’ it.

“I’m allergic I had a sore throat and had runny nose even allergy tablets didn’t help and I just hated having the dog, the smell, the mess,” she wrote.

But when she ‘nicely’ told her son that she doesn’t want the pooch in the house, he told her that he would no longer visit without his four-legged pal.

“I absolutely hated having the dog but I obviously love seeing my son,” she expressed, adding that she has spent ‘thousands’ on her garden only for the dog to trample on her flowers and dig holes in the lawn.

“I can’t leave her in the kitchen, she chews. She’s only young,” the frustrated mother added.

Her post has left Mumsnet users divided, with many criticizing the mother for being stubborn.

One person wrote: “What else do you want him to do with the dog? I’d be proud of him for not neglecting his pet.”

Another commented: “Surely you could put up with the dog for a short visit from your son? I’d put up with a sore throat if it meant my son could visit.”
