A 22-month-old boy has spent thousands of dollars after he managed to unlock his mother’s phone and order everything in her shopping cart.
Ayaansh Kumar picked up her mother’s phone and played with it for some time. His mother, Madhu Kumar from New Jersey, was then left shocked when $2,000 suddenly disappeared from her bank account.
But the mom saw the hilarious side of the incident.
“He’s so little, he’s so cute, we were laughing that he ordered all this stuff,” Madhu told NBC New York.
“It is really hard to believe that he has done this, but that’s what happened. I need one or two [items], why would we need four?”
The mom has said that she will now be applying stricter controls on her devices to make sure her son won’t do anything like that again.
“Moving forward, we will put tough passcodes or face recognition so when he picks up the phone he finds it in locked condition,” she said.
The décor-loving toddler placed orders for flower stands, accent chairs, and some household items that are so big they couldn’t fit the front door.
Madhu plans to keep some of the items as a remembrance of what her son did and return the rest to the nearby Walmart supermarket.
One person commented: “That’s money you’d be lucky to make in a month.”
Another shared: “I went out one evening with my kids and nephew who lived with me at the time. Well, as we left the street *in a very ‘ red’ area* , a lot of blue lights went flying down my (very short ) street. I assumed it was a couple at the end of the street had one of their famous public domestics or one of the ladies had a problem.
“When I got home my door was smashed up and I was told a child had called 999 and spoken to the operator. All were under 3 but I heard the call back and it was the 19 month old.”
