We all know that even the smallest kind gesture goes a long way, but have you experienced one while going through some tough times?
Dan and Maxi Cortez were celebrating Father’s Day with their twin baby daughters, Harper and Harlow, at Red Lobster. As they were finishing their meal and getting ready to pay the bill, the waitress handed them the bill, which turned out to have already been paid.

There was a note on the back of the bill, which said:
Happy Father’s Day! Enjoy your babies, they don’t stay little long. From the family across from you, God bless you.
The parents were so touched, Maxi shared the good news on her Facebook:

Landon, Harper and Harlow were delivered on May 27, 2015, via C-section. All three babies seemed quite healthy, and they went home with their proud parents. However, baby Landon started acting strangely, so their father rushed him to the hospital. They were devastated to discover that Landon was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
The family said their final goodbyes to Landon, who was just seven weeks old.
Maxi said about her son:
“From the time he was born he never closed his eyes. He just wanted to be awake all the time. It’s like he knew that he only had a short time.”
This was the family’s first Father’s Day without Landon, so it was a tough time for the Cortez’s. So they were extremely grateful for the unknown family’s incredible gesture of kindness — especially when they needed it most.
