Parents Arrested For Vacationing Alone On Christmas While Forcing Son To Indulge In ‘Frozen’ Meals At Home


A couple was recently arrested for child neglect during Christmas after they chose to spend the festive season alone while forcing their son to stay home.

For many, Christmas time is a holiday that is spent with loved ones and those that mean most. People travel long distances to see their parents and make sure they indulge in all sorts of fun and heartwarming holiday festivities that re-ignite that family bond.

However, one couple chose to do the exact opposite and are now feeling the heat for their ruthless behavior.

34-year-old Melissa Green and her 40-year-old husband Bobby Jo Green made plenty of heads turn recently when they were both arrested for child neglect after being reported by the neighbor.

The neighbor informed the police how their young son had been left alone at home for several days so he could spend the holidays alone as his parents vacationed.

A recent report released by the County Sheriff’s Department stated how the 11 year old boy had no choice but to feed himself frozen dinners in Arizona as his parents had been away since Thanksgiving. Moreover, he even revealed how he had missed several days of school because of this same reason.

After getting the concerned call from the neighbor, deputies rushed to the residence where the boy was found alone with his frozen supply of food. And that’s when they began questioning the child and conducting an investigation into the startling matter.

Soon, it was revealed how the mother had reportedly flown out of state and her husband followed shortly afterward.

While the officer could not trace the parents’ whereabouts at that time, an arrest warrant had been issued against their names. As far as the child is concerned, he is currently under the care of Child Protective Services.
