It can be very devastating to find out that your spouse or partner has been cheating on you.
But it can be more depressing to discover it by accident, and that’s what happened to a wife who reached out to a bakery after she saw her husband’s order before Valentine’s Day.
Her story was then shared by another baker on social media after they received it anonymously from the owner of the bakery where the husband ordered a cake.
The message on the TikTok video from the woman read: “I found your name on PayPal and was curious why my husband’s sending you money.”
To which the baker responded: “I hope I’m not ruining any surprise, but I have a treat business and I’m selling gift boxes for Valentine’s Day.”
The wife said she felt ‘silly’ for doubting her husband when she saw the PayPal transaction. However, Valentine’s Day came around and she did not receive any gift box.
That’s when she called the bakery again to confirm who the surprise was for.
“I only got some flowers for Valentine’s Day and was curious what my husband purchased?” the said.
“He purchased a set of naughty message berries with the name Ashlee,” the baker replied.
“That’s my best friend!” said the wife.
She then confronted her husband, who called the bakery and demand she tell his wife “it was mistake” before claiming it was a “breach of contract” to share information about what he had ordered.
The video received more than 1.4 million views, with many on the wife’s side.
“There is no baker-customer confidentiality, this isn’t a hospital,” one person commented.
“He breached their marriage contract though,” another wrote.
“They are married and the order must have been paid for with a joint account, so she has a right to know how her money was spent,” a third added.
