A man has asked the internet for advice after his wife kicked him out of their house following a quarrel with his mother.
As the husband who got kicked from his own home revealed, he and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl into their family. Since his mother constantly disrespects and bullies his wife, however, a rift between the two families emerged and the woman decided to ban her mother-in-law from visiting their home and their newborn baby.
“My mom is a nightmare and she’s always disrespecting people’s boundaries while also being entitled. She never liked my wife, not for any serious reason other than the fact that I got married and she couldn’t stand seeing me moving away from her,” the man revealed in his Reddit post.
“My wife gave birth three weeks ago to our healthy baby girl. My mom insisted she wanted to be in the delivery room but my wife only wanted me and her mom in there but my mom was on the hospital lobby screaming about how she deserves to experience the birth of her grandchild.
“Whenever my mom visited our house she would always nitpick everything and judge my wife for being a horrible housewife and claimed she’d be a bad mom as well.point 266 |
Since those remarks my wife has lost her temper and doesn’t want my mom to visit again and I understand why, nobody would like to be humiliated in their own house.point 135 | ”point 138 | 1
Following the visitation ban, the man decided to go against his wife and bring his mother into their home for a “secret” visit one day when his wife was away.
“My wife had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and I’d stay home with the baby. I saw this as a chance to invite my mom over to see the baby as long as she kept it a secret. She came over and I told her we have roughly two hours before my wife comes back,” the man added.
“My mom then wouldn’t leave no matter how many times I tried to convince her. My wife came home and saw my mom there cuddling the baby and she had a full mental breakdown and started screaming at me and her and she told her to get the f*** off the house.
“I told my wife to shut the f*** up and calm down and it’s also my house and my kid and if I want my mom to meet my f***in kid at my f***in house she can’t forbid me from doing it and she has no right to kick my mom out. That led to her kicking me out too and now I’m staying at my parent’s until my wife calms down.”
After asking Reddit for advice, the man was quickly branded as an a**hole with people telling him he violated his wife’s trust by allowing his mother to visit their baby and by choosing her side when she bullied his wife.
