An angry woman has sought help on the internet after her mother-in-law crossed the line by violating her privacy.

As an anonymous lady revealed in her post, her relationship with her husband began falling apart after she and her MIL got into a huge fight involving hidden cameras, spying, and controlling behavior.

It all began months ago when the woman’s husband suffered a back injury and became bed-ridden following a car crash.

After the incident, the woman put her work on pause and started taking care of her husband at their home. Her efforts, however, were constantly challenged by the man’s mother who continued making absurd demands while doing nothing to actually help her son.

“The pressure has been too much from my mother-in-law. She keeps telling me to take care of him and be there for him constantly. She begged me to take time of work and I did, asked me to send her hourly updates about his condition in the first two weeks, but when I don’t she’d get mad and cause an issue,” the lady wrote.

“She visits everyday but doesn’t do anything to help, alternatively, she’d list all the things I should or shouldn’t do. The family keeps telling me she’s just worried sick for her son so I try to stay calm.”

While she tried her best to ignore her MIL and focus on her husband, the woman decided enough was enough after discovering that her husband’s mom secretly planted a camera in their house to keep an eye on them at all times.

“My sister-in-law called me to tell me that her mum installed a camera in the bedroom to see if I was taking proper care of her son. I was stunned, but after searching the room I found the camera,” the distressed wife added.

“I called my mother-in-law and had a huge fight with her. She admitted it and said she was just feeling concerned and wanted to make sure her son was being cared for, despite him calling her every day.

“I yelled at her telling her that she’s no longer allowed into my home after this. She lost it and went on a rant about how I’m stopping her from seeing her son and that not seeing him will literally make her sick herself.”

To make matters even worse for her, the woman’s in-laws took the MIL’s side saying she was just concerned about her son because she wants the best for him.

Meanwhile, the woman’s husband accused his wife of being vindictive while threatening to go live with his mom if she doesn’t let her see him every day.

“They said I’m taking it too personally and that I can’t blame a concerned mother for wanting to make sure her son’s fine, especially since she listed things she thought I was doing wrong,” she explained.

“I ended the conversation but my husband is upset telling me I’m being vindictive and that if his mum can’t come then he’ll move there with her. We argued then I went outside and he’s been silent ever since.”

After asking Reddit for advice, baffled viewers were quick to voice their surprise and shock not only at the behavior of the woman’s mother-in-law but also at her husband’s harsh words.

“Your husband just asked for a divorce. Let him stay married to his mother. There are better fish in the sea,” someone wrote.

“Report it to the police. Let your husband go home to his mummy,” another suggested.

The third said: “I’d flip my s*** if someone installed a camera in my room, I don’t care who it is.”
