Ryan Reynolds, the Deadpool actor, 41, continued a back-and-forth with a fan under the handle
@itsmikeithink, responding to a two-month-old tweet.
And now, eight months later Mike is the proud owner of a yearbook containing his photo and quote. Sending a photo of the yearbook and the original tweet to Reynolds, Mike wrote: “Finally got my yearbook. thank you, king.”‘
Twitter user @itsmikeithink asked Reynolds back in November, rather forcefully, for a senior quote, tweeting at Reynolds “GIVE ME A SENIOR QUOTE BITCH I HAVE A DEADLINE.”
Despite not being the most polite ask, Reynolds helped him out, replying “Satan is gonna take it from here.”
Now @itsmikeithink, aka Michael Nealon, has his yearbook in hand and he used exactly the quote Reynolds gave him.
On May 26, the fan @itsmikeithink tweeted, ‘finally got my yearbook. thank you, king’ with an emoji of prayer hands.
Reynolds – riffing off his original quote, ‘Satan is gonna take it from here,’ wrote to the fan, ‘Wall Street is gonna take it from here.’
Back in November last year, fan Mike tweeted the actor asking him for a quote he could use in the book which would document his treasured high-school memories – the ever-helpful star replied: “Satan is gonna take it from here.”
At San Diego Comic-Con, 20th Century Fox unveiled the Super Duper Cut of Deadpool 2, which will be released on Blu-ray in August.
The Super Duper Cut is said to contain new footage that creates a unique Deadpool 2 viewing experience that is significantly different from that of the theatrical cut of Deadpool 2.
Earlier on Reynolds had tweeted to say that on the four-year anniversary of the leaked footage of Deadpool finding its way online, he still didn’t know who was responsible – adding that he was ‘taking over the investigation’.
In a chat with Jimmy Fallon the year before, Ryan said of the leak that between himself and others high-up on the film – writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and director Tim Miller – ‘I know that one of us did it.
‘There’s four of us … one of us did it,’ he said. ‘We all sort of said at the beginning, “Someone should leak it. Someone should leak it” … but I’m 70 percent sure it wasn’t me.’
Reynolds can be seen in Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut, which will be available on digital formats August 7 and Blu-ray August 21.
