Elliot Benchetrit, the tennis star is being criticized by fans for doing something that is not ideal.
He asked the ball girl to peel the banana for him which was offending and so the fans took the action of slamming him.
While the break of his qualifiers for the Australia Open was going on against Dmitry Popko, Benchetrit (who by the way stands on the number 229 position in the world.) while he was on break, a piece of fruit was given to him and to it he instantly said that he cannot do it.
The ballgirl definitely felt offended by the act and so she turned to the umpire John Blom who was sitting on the backside of the camera which was blocking her view of the umpire.
When she could receive no guidance from the umpire, so she turned back to the 21 years old player and gave the snack to him once again.
Commenting on the incident, one person wrote on Twitter “Dude, she is not a servant. She is there to do her job so let her do it. Don’t be an as******.”
Another wrote “Elliot be like – Oh am I supposed to peel a banana for myself? How on earth am I going to do it? Oh, Lord.”
Another person who claimed to be the cameraman said: “He was not rude to just this girl but he was rude to all the ball kids that too several times.”
The umpire then asked him to do it himself to which Elliot said that he has a plaster on his fingers. He took the fruit and tried to peel it using his teeth but the French man gave up quickly and went back to play.
Only if it was true, he would have been in real pain for sure.
