Fans paid up to $90 to see Tyga’s live performance but felt disappointed when he performed for just 15 minutes.
Tyga is on the tour of Australia and New Zealand, and he landed in Wollongong, south of Sydney, for the Sunday night show.
Fans were excited about the much-awaited event at Towradgi Beach Hotel, and the tickets were immediately sold out a week in advance.
The show started at 6 pm, and the rapper was expected to perform at 11.15 pm.
Fans paid up to $90 for the event and watched four hours of DJs performance, and they were expecting Tyga’s performance to start at 11.45 pm – but he came on stage half-an-hour later than expected timing.
Fans left unhappy when the show finished about midnight.
According to Emily-Jayne Jackson, who attended the show and felt furious about the situation said, the lights turned on and the rapper said goodbye to people.
‘He started to high-five people before walking off the stage,’ the 20-year-old told Daily Mail Australia.
‘The lights turned on when he was still performing and I was like what’s going on?’
According to Ms. Jackson, it was midnight when the police officers arrived as the crowd was shouting and asking him to perform on another song.
‘Police walked in and then Tyga was high-fiving people and the lights turned on and everyone was ushered out,’ Ms. Jackson said.
Some fans asked for refunds, and claim that they did not get what they expected and paid for it.
‘$80 to listen to DJs play the same da** songs for more than four hours and have him only play for like 15 minutes? I want a da** refund,’ one woman said.
‘The poster only said Tyga, it didn’t mention a DJ playing for five hours beforehand, otherwise, no one would have shown up until 10 pm,’ another said.
‘They made out like it was all going to be Tyga and to only get 15 mins of him, for that price, is f***ed.’
The show was booked through entertainment agency Lucky Urban, who was handling and promoting the show and made Tyga available to the venue. The sub-promoter for the event told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I’d like to apologize to everyone who came to the show and say that it’s out of our control,’ he said.
‘I understand people may have felt unhappy or underwhelmed, we did everything to provide a memorable experience and his team let everyone down.’
‘Last night’s show is not a representation of how I run by business, and I am appalled this has happened to his hardworking fans.’
Tyga is touring New Zealand and Australia right now, he will go back to New Zealand to perform at Hip Hop in the Park in Tauranga, New Zealand.
