It’s wonderful how far pet owners would go just to make their beloved pets be comfortable and feel loved.

But in this case, one woman went above and beyond and did a fantastic makeover of her pooch’s digs that made it unrecognizable. What’s more, her dog just loves it, too!

Natasha Hammond posted before and after pics of her project at the “Mrs. Finch Made Me Do It” Facebook group. With mood lighting and a portrait on the wall, it’s the perfect safe place for her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Coco.

Natasha shared that her dog had always slept at that spot beneath the stairs but she wanted to make it into something that’s cozier for Coco.

A cozy bed, a box of toys, and even decorative items definitely count towards making the place feel really cozy.

Natasha knew Coco felt the safest sleeping behind a cage so she installed a crate door at the opening of Coco’s new hideout and even added exterior decorations in the form of paw wall art.

This doggy mom clearly put a lot of thought and effort into her project and she deserves all the praise she’s receiving. But even better is the fact that Coco obviously loves her new home and even jumped right in as soon as it was ready.

Natasha talked about the transformation, saying: “Coco absolutely loves her new home, in her home! She is at her most comfortable in a crate but it always looked an eyesore! Now it fits right in!”

Another added: “This is the best dog house I have ever seen.”

Even Natasha wasn’t expecting the flood of positive responses.

She later added: “Wow wow wow thank you so much, everyone, I’m absolutely blown away by your lovely comments. Thank you so much! My girl is so happy with her new space.”

Natasha explained to FEMAIL that the six-year-old Coco had been trained to sleep in her old crate ever since they first moved into the house with Natasha adding that “she likes it that way.”

Of the new crate, Natasha said: “We have tried to remove the crate before we built this room and she hated it. She cried, paced and was extremely anxious. A crate, or now her enclosed room, is her safe place.”

Coco loves the new crate so much that she spends a lot of time with it. While more spacious, it still gives Coco a safe and cozy environment she loves.
