The staff of the Jollibee Burger and Fried Chicken outlet in Imus, capital of Philippines’ northern Cavite Province, found an abandoned baby outside their restaurant.
The baby was brought in by the traffic warden, and the staff didn’t delay to serve the newborn.
They changed the baby’s diaper, breastfed the hungry infant and waited for the authorities to arrive.
One of the workers of the restaurant, Jesica Tan Verano shared the pictures on her Facebook account which soon garnered 125,000 likes. Captioning the post, she wrote that his parents are accountable to God. “How can someone abandon a baby as cute as him?” She asked.
She said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) wants to take him away, but she wants to keep the child to herself.
The pictures show many staff members of the restaurant taking care of the infant.
Verano said that someone abandoned him in a hurry because his head still has traces of blood on it,
According to the reports, the local authorities are trying to track his parents, but until they are found he will be left in DSWD’s care.
