As the deadly coronavirus continues to spread, major fast-food chains and retailers in China are shutting their doors.
Major fast-food chains and retailers in China including McDonald’s, KFC and Starbucks have been closed temporarily to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
On Friday, McDonald’s and Starbucks announced a temporary closure in China as the deadly coronavirus continues to spread.
The major fast-food chains and retailers in China that announced a temporary closure are KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, and IKEA.
Meanwhile, Walmart will remain open as one Walmart spokesperson told Business Insider: “We are actively reinforcing good hygiene practices in all of our Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in China and reminding our teams that the health and safety of our associates and customers is our top priority.”
While other fast-food chains and retailers in China have announced a temporary closure until further notice.
The virus has killed more than 100 people and infected more than 4000 people in China.
The virus is believed to have originated in the central city of Wuhan.
The deadly coronavirus is now spreading across the country and has killed 106 people.
Several cities have been placed under lockdown in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
The virus has spread across the country as Thailand has reported 14 cases of infection, Hong Kong reported eight, the United States, Taiwan, Australia and Macau reported five cases each, Singapore, Japan,
South Korea and Malaysia reported four cases each, France reported three cases, Canada and Vietnam reported two, and Nepal, Cambodia and Germany each reported one.
In China, more than 100 people died due to coronavirus. Other countries have not reported any death yet due to the virus.
