A father had booked an expensive foreign trip along with his wife and his three kids age 9, 11 and 14.
While the 9 and 11 years old were his boys with her now-wife, the 14 years daughter he had was with his ex-partner.
The father had booked a very expensive international trip and so he called his daughter’s mother who denied giving out any information to him other than the expiry date on her passport.
And as the mother informed, the passport was valid for another one year and so he went on for booking the trip.
While his daughter and his daughter’s mother had been on an international trip before, she had her passport already but the two other kids had made it up recently.
The family was ready and so they went to the airport with all their stuff, ready for the big trip when the horrible news flashed.
They found out that his daughter cannot travel on the flight because she only had her passport for 2 more months and as per the policy, she could not travel until she has at least 6 months on her passport.
While the father thought of waiting behind for her, his wife said that she won’t let him cancel this incredible vacation and she definitely cannot go alone on the trip with her two sons alone.
The father also realized that it was not her daughter’s first trip, so he decided to go on the trip leaving his daughter at the airport all alone.
He called his dad and asked him to pick her up and take her home. Her father was extremely upset with him for doing this to his daughter.
When he returned, his daughter did not see him at all. She even asked her parents to change her school because her classmates had made fun of her for lying about a trip.
