Robert Charland, who is a Massachusetts auto mechanic by profession, believes in helping the society at any given chance.
He runs a youth bike distribution foundation and is involved in several other social works from time to time.
In the dire need of help to hundreds and thousands of people around the globe in the middle of this pandemic, he decided to bring the supplies home.
Robert had decided to donate supplies of sanitation to the people who need them the most at such a crucial time. So he brought the supplies home to distribute them later.
Robert is a 47 years old man and is stepfather to two beautiful young boys.
A 13 years old boy Rudy and Vinny who is 12 years old and suffers from Down syndrome.
The boys have set up a counter on their dining table with all the supplies out there. They have been making backpacks to load these supplies.
The boys are working on a goal of making 100 backpacks. These backpacks will have sanitation supplies with a basic first aid kit.
They are planning to distribute these backpacks to people who are low wage workers or are homeless and cannot afford to buy these basic things.
The big backpacks along with the first aid kits and sanitation products will have several other things. The bag will include, granola bars, nuts, blankets, fresh pair of socks, water bottles, deodorants, and a few other hygiene and safety products.
Robert says that it is his way of doing the most he can to take care of society. He says it is important to him because he wants to show his kids how taking care of the society is his and everyone else’s duty.
Ever since the outbreak of the virus, his wife has been working in the nursing home and he is at home taking care of the boys.
