A father and daughter who share a passion for pole dancing have spoken out about their hobby and revealed they opened a studio where they spin around the pole in pair and train their students.
27-year-old Hazel and her father, 52-year-old Dave Roberts, are raising eyebrows among their family and friends due to their unusual ‘partnership,’ driven by the desire to practice and teach the acrobatic skill.
Previously, the pair made it on the stage of Britain’s Got Talent with judge David Walliams calling their performance “the weirdest thing I have ever seen.”

Despite all the comments they receive, this father and daughter duet refuse to give up on their passion for pole dancing.
“It’s a matter of trust. If you can’t trust your own dad not to drop you, who can you trust? I’ve had other people suggest that I work with them, but I think to myself ‘not a chance,’” Hazel admitted.
“I wouldn’t feel so comfortable or safe because they would not know my balance points like my dad does.”
Allegedly, Hazel and Dave started attending pole dancing classes individually around the same time six years ago.
“Completely coincidentally I did a six-week course in the last year of University in Ireland and sent him a picture of me doing a Crucifix saying ‘look what I can do,’” Hazel added. “He sent one back in the same pose saying ‘so can I.’”
In fears of being ridiculed for his hobby, Dave initially kept pole dancing a secret from his friends and family. After he began working on it together with his daughter, however, he no longer felt the need to hide.
Now, the pair opened their own studio in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, where they continue to amaze, as well as confusing, their clients.
“I was a bit confused when I first heard her call Dave ‘dad,’ but they clearly know what they are doing and make me feel very safe,” trainee Kate Brown said.
“I was a bit surprised when I found out they were father and daughter but they work really well together so what does it matter?” Tracey Fisher added.
