A father-of-five reportedly died in a bizarre accident while attempting to break into a home.
The incident took place in Lehigh Acres, Florida, where 32-year-old Jonathan Hernandez was found dangling lifelessly after the window he was trying to climb through fell onto his neck.
As Lee County Sheriff’s Office insists, the father-of-five, who was an aspiring rapper also known as Taz UFO, died while breaking into a home and after getting slammed on the neck by the window he opened in an attempt to get inside the house.
According to the reports, the deputies found the man hanging lifeless five feet off the ground when they arrived at the scene.
While the authorities claimed that the 32-year-old, who has a history of run-ins with the police, was attempting to break into the house at the time of the incident, his family appears to believe otherwise.
“When I first met him, I was like, ‘Man he looks like he has a rap sheet like El Chapo. And he’s the complete opposite of that. He’s the sweetest person you’d probably ever meet and has the biggest heart,” Patricia Duarte, the rapper’s fiancée, said in an interview with WBBH-TV.
According to Duarte, she went to check on the scene of the accident herself and she doesn’t believe the deputies’ explanation.
“I just need something to be done the right way. I need a proper investigation. I need the actual truth to come to light,” she said.
As Jonathan’s friend, Tyson Lane, added, the 32-year-old was a generous person who allegedly helped him and others who found themselves in a tough situation.
“If he had a roof over his head and you didn’t, he would give you a roof over your head, bring you in his household. That’s something that he did for a lot of people including myself,” Lane insisted.
“He liked to have a good time. When he walked into the room, his smile just bright up everybody. And he just got along with everybody.”
Lane also expressed he doesn’t believe the sheriff’s office and its deputies. “He is not a burglar. He’s not a thief. He’s not a bad guy. That’s not what he is,” he said.
