A man who lost his penis because of infection becomes the first person to get a new one attached to his arm.
It was in 2014 when a blood infection caused Malcolm MacDonald manhood to turn black and fall off. He then underwent surgery to have a new one built on his arm.
In an interview with The Sun, he explained how he turned to alcohol after losing his penis and hoped he could have ‘Jimmy’ moved back from his arm back to its right location. However, further delays mean it has been stuck on his arm for four long years.
“Of course it is mad – having a penis on your arm. Not even I am used to it. But when you think about it, it’s actually amazing,” MacDonald said.
The 45-year-old explained that he threw his penis in the trash after it dropped off, and doctors told him they could only roll up the remaining part.
MacDonald then turned to alcohol and felt ‘like a shadow of a man’ for the next two years.
Professor David Ralph of the University College Hospital in London said the father-of-two could have a new private grafted onto his arm and it would stay there for two years before it could be moved to the right area.
The doctors successfully created a new penis and attach it to his arm with MacDonald completely blown away he even requested them to add two inches to the original size.
But four years later, MacDonald still has his private on his arm. It was supposed to be transferred in 2018 but because he was ill, the surgery was postponed.
Staff shortages, scheduling mix-ups, transport, and the pandemic have also caused further delays.
“I get it. It’s not every day you see a man with a penis on his arm. Of course I see the funny side – I have to. I don’t have any other option. If I couldn’t laugh at the willy on my arm I’d be finished,” he said.
