From a school of Tuna to a bunch of dolphins jumping out of the water, it is a great spot for nature lovers, surfers, boating enthusiasts, and fishermen.
However, one unusual sight made this father-son duo gone fishing go in total shock.
It was a beautiful morning; a father-son duo had entered the waters for catching some snapper. However, they stumbled upon a large, bulging white object out in the ocean. Curious about what they are seeing, they directed their vessel towards the object.
When they reached the spot, they couldn’t believe their eyes on what they saw. It was a dead whale floating on the surface of the ocean.
Australia’s coast is a vast ecosystem with a variety of marine species thriving. When they decided to investigate the object, at first they thought it was a hot air balloon, it was enormous.
When they got closer they realized it was a dead whale because of the smell. The whale’s stomach was filled with gas making it float on the ocean’s surface.
They took the photo of the carcass and posted it on their Facebook page. The following day, Corey Donohoe, another boatman shared a photo of a dead humpback whale in the similar fashion.
The reason of such sightings back-to-back is still uncertain. Well, it was something that no one could forget expect the rancid smell.
