50-year-old Barrie Drewitt-Barlow recently split from his 55-year-old husband Tony after 32 years and now plans to have twins with his daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
Barrie and Tony are the Britain’s first gay fathers as they registered as parents in 1999.
However, after Barrie fell in love with 25-year-old Scott Hutchison, who once dated his 19-year-old daughter Saffron, the couple split after 32 years.
Now, Barrie and his new partner Scott are planning to have twin daughters. The surprising thing is they all are living under the same roof.
Barrie told Mail Online : “I don’t want there to be any secrets and I want to get any negativity out of the way before our babies arrive. Yes, it is unorthodox, but we are a loving family and our priority is to have a stable home for our kids and what is now an extended family.”
“It works for us – and if people are shocked, well that’s their problem not ours.”
After Tony was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, Barrie and his new partner Scott came closer and fell in love with each other when Tony was in the hospital for his treatment.
Barrie and Scott are now planning to have twin daughters and Tony has no problem with it. In fact, they all are living under the same roof.
Barrie said: “I hadn’t contemplated having any more children, especially at my age.
But Scott has always wanted to have a child of his own so I said if he wanted us to be parents together, I would support him in that and have a baby with him.”
