The FBI is currently in the middle of a serious investigation regarding reports about an alleged assault against a female service member by a group of Afghan refugees.
With each passing day, the aftermath of the evacuation continues to worsen as more and more cases of crime get reported from camps housing the evacuees from Afghanistan. But the FBI claims that it takes each and every allegation seriously and therefore it is currently probing the case.
On Friday, the FBI confirmed the news about their recent investigation involving the suspected Afghan refugees who are currently living in Fort Bliss.
A recent statement was issued by the FBI to Fox News and that’s where they confirmed how an alleged assault took place on September 19th at New Mexico’s Fort Bliss. To be more exact, the location was identified as Dona Ana Range Complex, and that’s where the refugees are currently being held.
“The safety, as well as the well-being of all service members, matters most to us and that includes all of our installations which is of prime concern,” they revealed in a recent statement to the press.
But what really raises so many concerns with citizens is how the number of crimes keeps on increasing with each passing day. For instance, just recently, refugees were convicted of sexually assaulting minors. Similarly, another was charged for allegedly choking his wife and threatening to send her back to Afghanistan.
These crimes and complaints continue to worsen and it’s slowly turning out to be a matter of grave concern for so many, explained experts who continuously overlook the situation in the US.
In the same way, so many officials have voiced their concerns on how they feel these housing facilities are no longer safe. Instead, they feel that they may soon turn into hunting grounds for sex offenses if the matter isn’t taken seriously soon.
