A brave man took to the skies on a sofa while watching TV and eating chips without being strapped in.
29-year-old Hasan Kaval from Izmir, Turkey customized a red sofa with a metal frame to which he attached wheels, a footstool, television, lamp, and a parachute.
The fearless paragliding instructor flew to the skies in Oludeniz in southwest of Turkey on July 2, filming the unbelievable stunt as onlookers were left shocked and amazed.
Even though he didn’t have a safety harness, he said: “I wasn’t scared, my friends trusted me. It was fine.”
As soon as he reached the sky, Kaval calmly removed his shoes and wore his comfy slippers. He then turned on the television and casually enjoyed a bag of Doritos and a can of cola.
“I felt so good and relaxed,” he said.
He safely landed the leather sofa on the ground and continued eating his snacks.
Kaval said he first dreamed about the stunt a few years ago. People online have been enjoying his video, with one saying: “The lamp made a great addition! The lack of being tethered to the couch made me a little/lot nervous!”
Another wrote: Come on dude, get up off your couch and do something today. Go outside and get some fresh air at least.”
A third added: “Best video I have seen in ages, well done, the balls of steel award 2020 is presented to you. I have no idea what you where saying but I’m sure it was great.”
His video gained more than 370,000 views in just two days.
