A female motorcyclist died after she fatally collided with SUV that merged into the left lane without looking.
The SUV was stuck in traffic and was illegally crossing the double line barrier into the HOV lane.
The 49-year-old Canadian woman died after the collision on Friday evening in a High-Occupancy Vehicle lane on Highway 403 in Mississauga, Ontario, which is adjacent to Toronto.
Her name has not yet been released by the Canadian police.
Tragic dashcam footage shows an SUV crossing a double line barrier into the HOV lane, which is reserved for vehicles carrying at least two people.
Then the motorcycle comes upon the SUV at a high rate of speed, colliding with it, throwing the rider high into the air.
The female rider was rushed to a local hospital, but she died on Saturday afternoon because of her injuries, according to Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Kerry Schmidt.
It is illegal to merge into an HOV lane across a double line in Ontario, and it is also illegal for a motorcycle with only a single rider to use an HOV lane in Ontario.
The Canadian police are still investigating the collision.
