Throughout our lives, we develop the ability to read situations – for some people, this comes with ease and for others it proves to be a challenge.
It involves a mix of logical thinking, critical reasoning and sometimes pure instinct. So, do you know if you find it easy or challenging?
Here’s a chance to find out with one simple question – who is this boy’s parent?
In the photo, you see three adults standing behind a boy playing in the sand. But which one is the parent?
Logical thinking and a high level of attention can help you crack this quiz.
Don’t worry, take your time. It’s a tricky one!
Ready for the answer?
The women on the left is the boy’s mother.
Here’s why –
The woman on the right of the boy is holding a pink doll in her hand. Using logical thinking and deduction, we can assume that it’s unlikely a little boy would be playing with a pink doll toy. Therefore, she must not be this young boy’s mother.
Next, onto the man in the middle. If you look closely, the man is holding a toy car with a gift ribbon on it. That would suggest that it’s a present. Since your every-day parent does not tend to bring gifts to the park, that would indicate that he must be a friend of the parent carrying a present for the young boy – not his parent.
Finally, the women on the left has a backpack by her feet and sticking out is a baby bottle. This must mean that the bag is packed with other children’s supplies too, like diapers and snacks. As parents are usually the only ones to carry around such a bag, that goes to show that she must be the mother!
