Shawn Wiebe, the firefighter, is popular on the internet.
Why is he so famous online even though his job is not at all related to the media or the internet.
Here is the story.
When the dangerous flood hit Alberta, Canada, Wiebe and his fellow firefighters did their best to save as many people as possible.
As the cold water kept rising, people were stuck in their homes and cars. The circumstance rapidly deteriorated than anybody had anticipated at first.

But when he met an old lady who needed assistance on evacuating the area, Wiebe thought that it would be effective to pick her up and carry her to the higher place.
Wiebe interviewed with the City News, “With everybody coming on to the boats and the helicopters onto the east side of the 12th avenue, there was one individual lady. Her boots were saturated and soaked with water so instead of having her walk through more water, I said, ‘I’ll carry you.'”
The lady first appeared to be speculative, worried that he wasn’t strong enough to carry her, but looking at Wiebe something lets us know that he’ll have the power to carry a small lady a hundred feet to security!
On the way to the safer place, the old lady said to Wiebe.
“The last time I was carried like this was on my wedding night!”

It made Wiebe burst into laughter. After such an intense day, it would have been an unbelievably pleasant moment to smile for a minute.
What’s more grateful is that the Calgary Sun photographer Lyle Aspinall captured the moment that went viral online!
This photo just proves perfectly that firefighters were always there for us when we have problems.
The sad news is that this hunky fireman Shawn Wiebe is already happily married with children!
