People have been waiting since what seemed like an eternity for Peaky Blinders season five.
And much to their relief, BBC has announced that it will air the first two episodes on consecutive days.
Season five’s first episode, Black Tuesday, is set to broadcast on 25th August on BBC One at 9 p.m. The next episode, Black Cats will air on 26th August at 9:30 pm on the same channel.
For those of you who do not want any spoilers should look away now.
The plot of Black Tuesday will revolve around the Shelby family’s dispersal and coming together.
Michael will be shown living in Detriot at Shelby Company Headquarters, while, Aunt Polly will be in Monte Carlo, holed up with a pilot.
The news of Wall Street Crash will break, bringing the family together as its implications become clear for the family.
All this while, Tommy’s political career is going strong and he gives a speech in House of Common. However, hosts from his past threaten to sabotage his position. Seems like Black Tuesday will be very intriguing yet a little gory.
The synopsis reads that Tommy is at Arrow House when he gets a call regarding potentially devastating information. He, Mosley, and Ada meet in a dimly lit bar to discuss business at Westminster.
Meanwhile, Tommy receives a message sent by a rival gang that uses a brutal means to transfer the message. Arthur and Finn talk about their plans to expand the Peaky business empire at the Garrison Pub. Afterward, someone close to Tommy arrives at a birthday party unexpectedly with news about a dangerous new enemy.
Apart from this, nothing is clear regarding what to expect from the next four episodes. However, it is speculated that the episodes will be called Black Something.
