From time to time, we often hear interesting airplane stories.
And whereas some of them are hilarious, the others are simply horrific.
However, I bet that you’ve never heard about a story that’s even similar to this one.
And that’s why this story is going viral now – shocking people worldwide.
As a flight attendant, Sheila Fredrick’s primary job is to ensure that every passenger on board is safe and comfortable. One day, she was doing the normal routine – checking everyone on a flight, and greeting them as they walked in.
Then, she noticed something strange.
A girl was sitting beside an older man. But the odd thing about these two was that this girl was in a terrible shape. Plus, she looked as though she wasn’t able to shower for days. On the other hand, the man accompanying her was clean and extremely well-dressed.

In the interview with NBC, Sheila said that the girl “looked like she had been through pure hell.”
Since something looked a little off, Sheila tried to talk to the girl; however, the man grew defensive and wouldn’t let her talk to the girl. After seeing the man reacting in an aggressive way, Sheila’s suspicion grew. So she tried think of another way to communicate with the girl.
Then, Fredrick came up with this brilliant idea – she could leave a secret note in one of the bathrooms, and hope that the girl would see it!
After a while, Sheila went back to the bathroom. And she saw that the girl had written a reply, saying, “I need help.”
Sheila immediately notified the pilot about this girl’s situation, and the pilot alerted the authorities in San Francisco.
Once the plane landed, police arrested the man, and the girl was rescued.

What a miraculous save by Sheila! Without her help, something terrible and tragic would have happened to this little girl.
And even though this happened back in 2011, this story is going viral again because the story was shared at a workshop organized by the nonprofit Airline Ambassadors, which coincided with the Super Bowl.
Hopefully, everyone will be able to act like Sheila did, if a similar situation happens.
