A terrifying video shows a flight attendant crashing into the plane’s ceiling as violent turbulence hit the plane during a flight from Kosovo to Switzerland.

The powerful turbulence sent a flight attendant at ALK Airlines Boeing 737 crashing into the plane’s ceiling and her cart which was full of drinks spilled over nearby passengers.

Some of the passengers were also scalded by hot water after the flight attendant crashed into the plane’s ceiling as violent turbulence hit the plane.

The violent turbulence lasted for 10-minutes.

The terrifying video was filmed by a passenger named Mirjeta Basha which has now gone viral, leaving people shocked and disturbed.

“People started screaming and crying. A flight attendant slammed her trolley on the ceiling. Cups flew around, some were scalded by hot water”, Basha told 20 Minuten, a Swiss newspaper.

“I thought we all had to die. My husband has scalded his neck,” she told German news outlet Badische Zietung.

121 people were on board and 10 of them were hospitalized after the shocking incident.

EuroAirport told ABC News: “The flight from Pristina with airline ALK experienced turbulence in the air around 20 minutes before landing. The pilot alerted handling agents so that the airport firemen were immediately on the scene when the plane arrived.”

The airline said in a statement: “The fasten seat belt signs were illuminated at the time of the upset, the flight crew anticipated possible turbulence. A strong downdraft occurred and the aircraft deviated slightly from the assigned flight level. The crew immediately afterward requested a descent (and the aircraft descended to FL320).”

“The aircraft continued for a normal landing, no emergency was declared. Medical assistance was requested after landing, two passengers needed medical assessment. No seats were ripped off at all.”
