In a bizarre situation, a 79 years old flight attendant was fired from her job over a missing carton of milk.
Ida Gomex Llanos has been an employee as a flight attendant in Delta since 1962. The airline sued her for a missing carton of milk.
According to reports, Ida Gomez Llanos claims she is being victimized by her colleagues who have been continuously bullying her for a long time.
Envious of her salary and perks and encouraged by the managers, her colleagues constantly look for ways to demean her.
It is quite evident that managers wanted to replace Ida with a younger and cheaper flight attendant. At the time of her resignation, Ida’s salary was $250,000, which was four times higher than an average flight attendant’s salary, i.e., $56,000.
Ida has filed a lawsuit against the Delta Airlines in Los Angeles this month claiming that she was bullied and harassed by her collogues. They would find new ways to show her in a negative light that eventually encourage managers to fire her.
She further added that in her 57 years of career in the company, she had been ranked as number one flight attendant in the LA and firth in the country.
It is quite bizarre to know that the manager apparently fired their number one flight attendant for a missing carton of milk.
Ida said that she never took anything personally, but when it comes to being extremely mean and lier, it is a serious problem. She believes that her colleagues started a smear campaign to get her out of the company.
As the senior flight attendant, she used to get benefits and perks, including overtime shift which might have made her colleagues grow envious about her.
Ida said that they used to make false allegations that she slept, ate chocolates, stole milk, and not doing a good job.
