A food activist is calling against the discrepancy she found out in the ingredients of the same packaged products that are being sold both in the UK and the USA.
Vani Hari is a food blogger who works under the name of The Food Babe online, compared and showed the difference she was able to find on basic products like soft drinks and chips that are sold in the both the UK and the USA.
Vani shared with her audience the list of ingredients that had horrified her.
She drew out a comparison and found out that the same products that were being sold on both side of the Atlantic have artificial colorings and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) in the products that are being sold to the American consumers while the British, the Canadian, and the Australian consumers do not have these dangerous ingredients in their food.
The blogger who is based in North Carolina is an active food enthusiast and she keeps sharing such images with her followers on a regular basis.
As she drew out the differences in the food products, she shammed the companies that are poisoning consumers just to make profits.
She said that she understands that artificial dyes are very common in the USA but that does not mean it is safe to consume them.
She states that in Europe, all the companies producing edible items have to mention a warning label on the packaging stating that the products have artificial food coloring.
She says that is one of the major differences in the UK and America. American food companies only work for making profits and thus they do not wish to cover their products up with warning as that would never be good for the sale of the product.
