6 years old Zach successfully fought leukemia but died due to an infection a few days after his birthday.
This brave little boy was able to overcome challenges with a smile that gave immense courage to his parents.
Zach’s mother, 36 years old, said that her son was slowly fighting the cancer infection when another infection struck him down.
This took away the chance of survival of the little life as reported by sources.
As early on as the age of two, the little boy was found to suffer from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Following this, he had to undergo three and a half years of chemotherapy that was supposed to be over last year.
But in February 2019, doctors believed that the cancer infection relapsed. At that time, transplanting bone marrow was the only option left but the doctors failed to found any match for the bone marrow.
The family was thrilled as the boy was clear from all infections. But then he was again contracted with a virus. At last, he died in August 2019.
Zach’s mother, Nabila, a primary teacher in Derby, exclaimed how the family is in deep sorrow due to the loss of their child.
She further added that it is painful to know the fact that one’s child is suffering from the life-threatening disease of cancer.
After Zach’s death, his mother has planned to fund for building a memorial garden at his school, Stenson Fields Primary School.
With two other children and Zach’s memory, Nabila wants to live the rest of her life. She further added that she would make a reading room for the students in the school so that they can read outside the classroom area.
Zach’s school community has joined hands in fundraising with Nabila as they are also in deep sorrow to overcome the loss of the little boy.
