The police shared how they quickly responded to the scene at nearly 15:30. Three of the dead were hit by the vehicle outside the building, while one of the victims was rammed inside the building.
Police across Illinois attended to the scene to secure the area and help victims and parents locate their kids, as per CBS.
Footage posted online showed large holes in the buildings, and traffic near the scene was also shut down as a result of this.
