The third season of Stranger Things has just hit Netflix – and the fans have already become desperate to get their hands on the next iteration.

As a matter of fact, nothing can be said with full confidence on when the fourth season will make it to the TV screens. However, what can be said with confidence is that the shooting of the fourth season will probably begin this fall.

According to ComicBook.com, the science fiction series is going to start filming this October. The same is suggested by a post on film trade publication Production Weekly.

No doubt, the time between commencement of shooting and the series making it to the screens can be different for every series. Even if the start of shooting is known for sure, we still can’t say anything about the release date.

But the point we can all agree on is that the sooner they start filming it the better it is.

Netflix has not even officially confirmed if there would be a season four but seeing the popularity of the third season, one can easily see it coming.

According to Netflix, Stranger Things 3 has been seen more times than any other media on their streaming service during the first four days of its release.

Tweeting about the show’s popularity, Netflix said: “@Stranger_Things 3 is breaking Netflix records!

“40.7 million household accounts have been watching the show since its July 4 global launch — more than any other film or series in its first four days. And 18.2 million have already finished the entire season.”

It seems highly improbable that Netflix would put a stop to such a money-making series any time soon.

The creators of the show, Ross and Matte Duffer, already have in mind what they want to do for the fourth iteration of the super hit series.

It might be surprising to know that the Duffers actually want to make the fourth season ‘feel very different’ after all the success and popularity the first three seasons have achieved.

“We don’t want to write ourselves in a corner, so we try to have these early discussions with the writers just to make sure that we’re setting ourselves up to go in the right direction,” Ross said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“We don’t know a lot, but we do know a lot of the big broad strokes.

“At the end of season two, we knew about Billy. We knew that the Russians were going to come in. We didn’t know the mall and stuff, but again, we know these big broad strokes.

“That’s sort of where we are in season four. We have the big broad strokes. It’s just now about filling in those lines in the details. We’re pretty excited about where it’s potentially going to go.

“Again, like we said, it’s going to feel very different than this season. But I think that’s the right thing to do and I think it’ll be exciting.”

Matte added: “I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plot lines into areas outside of Hawkins.”

What fans now want from Netflix is to go ahead and announce the official filming and release date of the show so as to make the waiting a bit easier.
