There must have been at least one instance when you were a kid when you just couldn’t wait to be all grown up.
Your folks refused to buy you a toy because it was too expensive? “I can’t wait to grow up so I can earn all the money and buy the toys I want!” Getting sent to bed just when your favorite show is coming up because it’s already past your bedtime? “I want to grow up so that I can stay up as late as I want!”
Watch the adorable video of how a Dad stopped a kid’s tantrum with a french fry!

And then we do inevitably grow up and laughingly enough, a lot of us miss being kids. Bills to pay, bosses from h*ll, terrible commutes, and more just add up and we realize that we never really had it so good when we were kids and all we really had to think about was what we wanted to eat and what games we were going to play next.
Faced with all the problems and responsibilities that adulthood brings, it’s often tempting to throw a temper tantrum. Of course, we’re adults and we know how to control ourselves (at least, most of the time). But when it comes to kids, any bit of frustration is enough reason to throw a tantrum.
What makes it more difficult is when the one throwing a tantrum is an infant who doesn’t know how to speak yet and the parent can’t make heads or tails of what their kid wants. It’s definitely enough to make the parent suffer a breakdown, too!
Fortunately for one dad, he had just the answer to his infant daughter’s breakdown: a french fry.
The video starts with the little one wailing away. Then dad asks, “You want something?” before the camera pans over to a brown paper bag containing a takeout meal from McDonald’s. The dad fishes out a single piece of french fry and hands it over to her daughter who immediately stops crying and even stares in wonder at the morsel before grabbing it and sucking on it like the treat that it was.
The dad laughs at the situation and we can laugh along with him because we know what it’s like to deal with episodes like that. If only it was so easy to stop tantrums!
Of course, the dad may not laugh for long once his wife watches the video and finds out what he fed the baby!
