Here Oscar parry who is fifteen years old and Kayan Roche Ali who is 14 years old hailing from Kidlington, Oxfordshire is best friends. Whereas Kayan is a Muslim and Oscar a Christian but still he completed the Ramadan month with Kayan.

This kind of relationship is a selfless relation in which one helps others. Kayan has to complete the month of Ramadan as for Muslims it is the test of their faith and they complete this month by fasting. But this time he was shocked to see that this time his mate would be fasting with him. During fasting, one has to skip meals from dawn till dusk and Oscar was doing the same this year.
They are school friends and even play and learn karate together they have shared pictures of fasting together. Just because of fasting they have stopped playing outside and have been skipping meals but from today they will come back to their routine.
According to Oscar fasting is very hard and difficult to perform but he wanted to support his friend. It is harder for kids because they cannot eat sweets and chewing gums and cannot even drink water. Moreover, children also crave junk food like burgers but Oscar says that there was no break in fasting so that one could eat that kind of stuff.
He had to miss his karate sessions and gym because the energy level gets down because of fasting. In the first days, the weather was very pleasant but it got hot in the last few days and they used to get dehydrated. But he really shocked Kayan.
Kayan says that he was shocked to see Oscar doing Ramadan with me and it is counted a gesture from him. During Ramadan, one has to skip watching TV and listening to music but Oscar did it very well.
However, it was difficult to go to school empty stomach and Oscar did it for Kayan as he says that Kayan is a good guy and always supports him. He just wanted to support his best friend and to tell him that he is not alone.
