Pet dogs are so ubiquitous in our lives right now that it might even be considered unusual if you didn’t own one or had never owned one before.
People dress them, spruce them up, and pretty much do everything with them (sometimes even sleep with them on the bed) and these adorable canines just love it.
Not that dogs have become mere ornaments because they still retain an instinct for that fierce loyalty and protectiveness that made them a staple presence for our ancestors during hunts or to protect them.
In fact, most dogs won’t even think twice about sacrificing their own lives just to save the owners that they love so much.
There are cases of dogs fighting off much bigger predators or poisonous snakes and they do so successfully even if it meant they died in the process.Watch this friendly dog who approached a mannequin in hopes to be patted.

Of course, dogs don’t merely rely on instinct because there are dogs who receive specialized training depending on the role they’re expected to perform.
One example would be the K-9 units in law enforcement that are trained to sniff out drugs and bombs that human senses may otherwise miss.
On a more personal level, service dogs make the lives of disabled people so much easier either by doing things that the disabled person can’t or just by being there when needed (such as during an anxiety attack). The amount of devotion that dogs show their owners is incredible. This is why it’s really painful to hear of stories where humans abuse dogs or don’t do enough to take care of them. Truly, sometimes people just don’t deserve dogs.
In any case, most people can make do with some cursory training for their dogs, such as letting know where they should poop and pee or even just knowing how to obey the “sit” and “fetch” commands. But sometimes, dogs can do unexpected things that are as adorable as they are surprising.
As you saw in the video, it showcases one such incident when a cute dog walked into the department store with his owner. The dog couldn’t help but sidle up to a human-like figure in front of him hoping he could weasel a pat on the head. Unfortunately for the dog, he was hoping for a pet from a mannequin.
This dog may be the friendliest in the world but apparently, also one of the most clueless. His owner had to chime in, “He’s not going to pet you. He’s headless.”
Of course, this dog’s body language seemed to say, “I don’t care if he doesn’t have a head. I love him anyway!”
